We aim to make this community as useful as possible. To help this along, we've put together this set of guidelines to help everyone get the most of the site.
It is quite rare that someone comes up with a truly original idea for a software or website project. Chances are almost everything you can think up has been done before in one form or another. Before you post any new ideas, please make use of the Resources page and our Listing Search to see if its been done or suggested before.
To help potential developers gain a better understanding of exactly what you are looking for in your proposed project, please be as specific as you can when describing your idea. If possible include relevant details such as:
Posting an idea is just the first step. Afterwards, you should take part in the discussion with the other users, as they help to refine the idea and better define the requirements and methodology. That way they get a better understanding of what your original idea entailed, and may suggest new ideas.
Tags are short, single word keywords which you use to describe your listing. These help your listing to be found by our search engines, as well as relating similar listings to one another.
You should make your tags as concise and accurate as possible, and include as many relevant tags as you can. However, you should not use TOO many tags, as this will prevent accurate search results. Usually between 10 and 15 tags per listing is more than sufficient.
All achievements, all earned riches, have their beginning in an idea.
